Weather Advisory for Farmers

A depression (low-pressure system) is currently located over southern Jharkhand and the adjoining interior regions of northern Odisha. Under its influence, the southwest monsoon is expected to remain active over the central parts of the country during the next three days.

Farmers are advised to remain alert, as heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in several regions according to the following forecast:

• 6 July: Very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Chhattisgarh and Interior South Karnataka.
• 6–7 July: Very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Konkan, Gujarat State, and Coastal Karnataka.
• 6–8 July: Very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra.
• 8 July: Very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
